Heat storage in solar thermal systems
Mokriš, Lukáš ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis are described methods of heat storage in solar thermal systems. Solar energy is retrieved in form of solar radiation, that is processed and stored in the form of sensible heat of solid materials and liquids, as heat of fusion of some material or as chemical heat, which is created during reversible chemical reactions.

Šumberák, David ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Pochyla, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with monitoring of photovoltaic power plant with nominal performance 3,075 MW. The first part describes the principle of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy, summarizes the principles of the photovoltaic phenomena, current trends and promising options. The following part of thesis an introduction to photovoltaic power plant in Brumovice, it is her monitoring and determining the efficiency. In the last part metod of calculating return power plant is describes.
Degradation of epoxy resins vith various aditives by solar radiation
Škarabelová, Lenka ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the study of chemical and physical properties of dielectric materials with main focus on epoxy resins. It includes possible processes that can influence the properties of epoxy resins, both processes that improve polymer properties and processes that cause material degradation. Next part of the thesis is a description of diagnostic methods suitable for measurement of basic electrical quantities of material and design of a suitable method for measuring properties of epoxy resins with different additives, influencing the samples by solar radiation. At the end, the work includes an experiment dedicated to the degradation of epoxy resins with various additives by solar radiation and the evaluation of the experiment.
Analysis of effect of solar radiation concentration on the thermal insulation degradation in the flat roof construction
Židek, Ondřej ; Běžel, Jakub (referee) ; Žák, Antonín (advisor)
The master´s thesis analyzes influence of direct and reflected solar radiation to heat strain and degradation of thermal insulation in the flat roof construction. In many building was a problem in a significant degradation of thermal insulation made from expanded polystyrene in the vicinity of glass surfaces. To determine the causes of this problem, it was necessary to study and test the properties of building materials and the physical nature of the effect of solar radiation on the building structure. In the introductory section lists the cases of buildings with degradation of thermal insulation and existing knowledge on this issue. The theoretical part describes the technical properties of thermal insulating materials used in the flat roof construction, nature and division of solar radiation, optical laws of light reflection and physical theory to explain the technical thermal behavior of building materials and structures. The last part describes a practical model and analyzing measured data in thermal stress in the flat roof construction. The practical part also determines the importance of different influences configuration structures using to dynamic simulations. At the end of the practical part they are validated theoretical knowledge obtained by analyzing data from a practical model.
Energy self-sufficiency of small sewage treatment plant
Leksa, František ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The thesis presents basic information from the area of small wastewater treatment plants. It also deals with the theoretical description of the solar radiation issue and describes the modeling of the photovoltaic cell and the selected type of battery. On the basis of the theoretical knowledge obtained, a model of the system representing the cooperation of the wastewater treatment plant with other energy sources is proposed. The model is created in PSCAD system and its function is verified in several operating scenarios. Depending on this, the work evaluates the achievements of individual operating scenarios that demonstrate different energy requirements for the system as a whole.
Analysis of the meteorological dates
Králík, Martin ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to recognize the basics of atmospherical physics, the techniques and measuring instruments used in weather stations and the statistical analysis of three chosen meteorological parameters. Data analysis is made by using graphical display method, which is discussed later on.
Heating and hot water of sports building in renewable energy
Horský, Martin ; Topič, Jan (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of my work is the heating and hot water for multi-functional building. The first part is devoted to solar systems. And both in terms of use and usability as well as the requirements relating to individual elements of the solar system. Conclusion The first part is devoted to the practical design of solar equipment forhot water. In the second part is devoted to design heating polifunkčního house. There isperformed a complete calculation and design. And the calculation of heat losses to the design of boiler and its connection to the system.
Data acquisition of solar radiation and calibration
Knapčík, Lukáš ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on description sensors of solar radiation, main principles, function and reason of rise mistakes and faults during the measurement. At the end of thesis is performed calibration of two cheaper pyranometers SG002 from Czech producer by comparison to a reference pyranometer CM11, which represent the secondary standard. Calibration consists of two main parts. In the first part is necessary to determine offset and in the second part to specify an instrument transferring constant between the correct and calibrated value.
Solar production of electricity
Špiláček, Michal ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis are mentioned basic methods how to convert solar radiation into electric energy. Shortly introducing the origin of solar radiation and its subsequent lightening of the Earth surface. Then is here the history of photovoltaic and principle of function of photovoltaic cells. In next chapters are mentioned a variety of cells, construction of photovoltaic panels and methods, how to increase their productivity. In the following chapters are mentioned basic thermal cycles used for indirect conversion of solar radiation into electric energy, their usage in various applications. At last, here are mentioned ways of using the gained electric energy both from direct and indirect conversion.
Solar Radiation Measurements
Chvátal, Michal ; Pikula, Stanislav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor‘s thesis discusses design and verification of an inexpensive method for indicative measurement of direct and diffused solar radiation. The reason for the measurement of solar radiation is the estimate the heat gain of buildings. In this paper the difference between thermoelectric generator and cooler is described. There is also described how to choose a suitable module for solar radiation measurement. The design of the measuring circuit and the construction of sensor are also described. Eventually the measured values are compared with the values from the commercial pyranometer SG420.
